Words from Students & Families
Early Beginnings
Heather has been incredibly gentle, patient, and kind
Our daughter started taking piano lessons with Heather when she was just 5 years old, as a complete beginner. From the very beginning, Heather has been incredibly gentle, patient, and kind — creating a welcoming and encouraging environment that our daughter looks forward to every week. Her love for music has grown tremendously under Heather’s guidance.
One of the things we appreciate most is the regular recitals Heather organizes. They give the students a chance to proudly share their hard work and progress, while also helping them gain valuable experience performing in front of an audience.
We’re so grateful to have found Heather — she’s truly a wonderful teacher who nurtures both skill and confidence in her students!

He’s has blossomed under her guidance
We started lessons with Ms. Heather when Asher was just three years old. From the first moment, her patience and kindness allowed them to develop a nurturing connection. He’s nine now, and has grown and blossomed under her guidance. He looks at piano lessons as a fun activity, not a chore.
I’ve been so impressed and thrilled at his progress, and I’m so thankful that we get to continue working with her remotely. Her skills and professionalism are top notch and it’s a joy to see her enthusiasm passed on to her students! When anyone asks for a recommendation, Heather is at the top of the list, no hesitation!

Heather is, quite simply, amazing
Our oldest has been taking lessons with her for five years. As he approached his fifth birthday, he was begging to learn piano, but we were just wading into the new Covid landscape at the time. In one conversation with Heather, we knew she was the one. She didn’t hesitate to say yes: her approach was to just try, see how he did, modify as needed, take breaks, figure it out, and that’s exactly what we did.
He has formed a loving and nurturing relationship with Heather that is still strong, and we have all loved every lesson and every recital since. Our youngest is now also studying with her and loving it as well. Heather is a gift, a gem, a bright spot.

Growth & Confidence
Nurturing a deep love for music
For over 8 years, Heather has been an incredible influence in our family's life, teaching all three of my children and nurturing a deep love for music in each of them. Her passion, patience and ability to connect with children at every stage of their development have made a lasting positive impact.
Thanks to her guidance, my oldest now plays piano in his high school orchestra. Even more special is seeing how my children will sit down together and play duets/trios, sharing music as a way to spend time with each other.
Heather has not only taught them how to play, but has given them the lifelong gift of music.

The best piano teacher we’ve ever met
We feel so incredibly lucky to have found Heather — she is, without question, the best piano teacher we’ve ever met. She has a rare and beautiful gift when it comes to working with children.
Our kids absolutely love piano because they love Heather. She truly sees each child — how they learn, what lights them up — and knows how to encourage, challenge, and support them.
Heather has created such a nurturing and inspiring environment that playing and performing feel like a natural part of life. Thanks to her, they’ve grown not just as musicians, but as confident and expressive people.

Finding Heather has been a gift
When my youngest daughter was 6 and I was looking for a piano teacher for her, I’ve already had 12 years of taking her older siblings to lessons and working together with various teachers. Finding Heather has been a gift to our family.
In 2 years, she took off and started playing Chopin, Mozart, Bach and other beautiful piano pieces. It only happened because of Heather's gentle, kind, and loving nature, but also her ability to challenge and motivate Bella without overwhelming her.
Bella wants to practice because she loves her teacher, and because Heather introduced her to the joy of music and the ways piano can help her express her emotions.

Heather has been a wonderful teacher for our kids.
She encourages them to pick songs that help them grow, and devotes time and attention to their musical development. They’ve benefited from the focus regularly scheduled recitals bring. Piano can be a solitary experience, but the sense of community Heather creates with her students has given our kids a chance not just to play piano, but to perform.

Her inspiration and enthusiasm were contagious
My son, who had been playing piano since he was 5, was losing interest as adolescence set in. I was desperate to find a teacher who could help turn this around. We found exactly this with Heather.
Her inspiration and enthusiasm were contagious. She opened up worlds for my son as she introduced him to composers, pieces, and ways of learning and practicing piano that he didn't know. No matter what state he was in when I dropped him off, when I picked him up, he would be inspired and happy.
Heather is a gold mine and a real treasure that we were so lucky to find just when we needed her
